Established in 1994, EMTEX (East Midlands Textile Association) is widely recognised as the UK's leading textiles trade support organisation. With the East Midlands employing over 85,000 people in 2,300 clothing & textile companies, it is the largest clothing & textiles region in the UK & Europe, EMTEX was set up to assist these clothing & textiles businesses face the challenges of a rapidly changing industry. As a membership led organisation which stimulates and supports the sustainable development of our industry in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland, EMTEX helps to promote and support a vibrant and varied clothing and textiles sector. The aim of EMTEX is to support the sector with a range of projects, services and solutions for common problems that assist with business growth, enhance performance and profitability. EMTEX is the first port of call for industry specific advice and information for any company operating in the clothing and textiles industry within the East Midlands. Offering support through a number UK & European funded projects and core services, that are delivered by our team of specialists, EMTEX aims to help generate new business for the region, assist companies to adopt new technologies and working practices and aid clothing & textile manufacturers to trade within the global marketplace. individual designers through to established companies within the East
